Sport Netball: Year 5/6 played The Willows School on 17 April. We lost 6-1 but all played brilliantly. There were lots of new players in our team who hadn’t played before, so well done for your great effort! Many thanks to Mrs Massey who gives so much of her time to netball practice and matches. Netball practice continues on a Thursday after school.
Tri-golf: The tri-golf club is now underway on a Monday and Tuesday after school.
Tag Rugby: This club for Y5/6 is now taking place on Mondays after school. Thank you to Mrs Fathers for giving her time to this club.
Cross Country: The Interschools event is on 7th May at Whittington. Practice continues on Monday & Wednesday lunch-time for Y5/6 boys.
Cricket: Y5/6 cricket club is on a Wednesday after school.
Football Club: This takes place on a Thursday after school for Y2.3.4. (After half term this will also be for Y1.)
Sports Week: During National Sports Week (30th June—4th July) we have many new and traditional sports to try. We have recently added the following activities to the week’s agenda: We are taking a coach-full of pupils to the Athletics Stadium in Tamworth, we have a days’ fishing for a group of pupils and tag rugby to try!
Please remember that we will welcome any other sports you may be able to
offer us! |
