Sex Education / Drug Education

Sex education is part of our planned curriculum and builds on the children's existing knowledge. It may occur within the Science curriculum and also part of PHSE in connection with relationships, attitudes and values.  The School Nurse is invited into school to support this aspect of the curriculum.  Parents are informed when their children will be taking part in such lessons and are given the opportunity to view the materials used before their child takes part in the lessons.

We deliver Drug Education throughout the school as part of a progressive curriculum which focuses on the uses and misuse of drugs and medicines.
