Laches Wood

February was the month that Y5/6 enjoyed a week’s outdoor education at Laches Wood.      This was an amazing experience for the children as not only were they away from home for a long period of time but also had many opportunities to try different activities. Archery proved very popular, with many managing to achieve a ‘bullseye’.     Pond-dipping allowed us to see first hand the incredible creatures living there and a food chain in action, with a nymph eating a larvae. (Yuck!) Climbing and Shelter Building were also enjoyed. Josh Williams was commended on his attitude in climbing – as he quite literally overcame his fears.

There were many fantastic moments over the week and we are sure that there will be many treasured memories
