The children had a chance to experience what it was like to be an evacuee.  Many dressed up as evacuees and looked just the part.  During their day at Shugborough the children learnt what it was like to be in an air raid and run to the air raid shelter, saw just how much food was allowed in rationing, and how to read a message written in Morse Code.
