Comic Relief Day

Whittington Primary School took part in "The Big One" on Friday 16th March.

Our Events:

Come to school "Red" day! Come in school in your own clothes and were as little or as much red as you dare! 50p per child

"Red" cake sale - a cake sale with a difference all the cakes must have something red on or in them! ( Please send in cakes on Friday- no nuts allowed....)

Sponsored event- skipping or football keep ups! How many can you do in one minute???

Prizes in each year group for the most!

Funny Face drawing competition- 20p to enter! Prizes for the best!

Joke competition- 20p to enter to be judged by the school in assembly!

Joke Quiz - one line of a joke you have to complete it, trying to be as funny as you can! This quiz is to bring home for all the family to enjoy!!!

Red Noses we sold 180 of them!!!

What a brilliant day it was! Everyone got involved, from some only wearing a little red, to some wearing nothing but red!!! We had, red clothes, red hair, red nails, red shoes, red faces and even some boys in red skirts!!!

The joke competition was great! All the school really enjoyed judging using our very own clap-on-a-meter!

The Cake Sale, well once again Whittington parents have done us proud!!! Cakes, we had so many!! Thank heavens it was fun Friday!!

The sponsored event was brilliant! So many children really got into the spirit of it and had great fun doing the event and some even won Easter eggs! But also raised lots of money too.

The Funny Face competition was really great with children from nursery to year 6 entering into the competition! Well done to Saona Tomlinson, Lizzie Farnsworth and Kayden Tomlinson for their great winning faces!!

Thank you once again for really making this event "a Big one!" We will let you know the grand total when we have all the sponsor money in!! Please get it in asap so we can send off a big cheque before the holidays...
