On Wednesday June 14th we went to play in the Lichfield Schools Cricket Tournament at Lichfield Cricket Club off Eastern Avenue for the afternoon with Mr Roberts-Thomas and Miss Wild. 13 Year 6/5 children went along but only 10 were in the squad. We had been practising at lunchtimes and also been to Bit End Field on the Monday and Tuesday to play some practice games. It was a really hot afternoon and we played 3 games altogether - against Christchurch, St Chad's and St Michael's. Although we played our best, we lost them all. Despite losing, we had a really good afternoon and really enjoyed taking part. We went to enjoy ourselves and that is what we did. No one was disappointed. Well done to all that took part!! |
