http://www.governornet.co.uk/ provides more details about what Governors are responsible for.
Governing Body responsibilities are discharged through meetings of the full Governing Body that generally take place once a term. This is underpinned by six working committees that meet to deal with specific areas of school business. Committees meet at least once each term. All Governors are involved in a number of committees.
The role of School Governor is voluntary and carries with it a number of responsibilities. If you are interested in becoming a School Governor, please contact the Chair of Governors via the school office or
office@whittington.staffs.sch.uk
Governors are interested to receive feedback from parents and others from the local area with an interest in our school. Should you wish to discuss any matter with the Governors, please either speak to any of the governors that you know, write to the Chair of Governors (c/o the school office) or let one of the school office staff know that you wish to speak to a governor and we will contact you. |
