Here at Whittington we currently have a range of parent helpers. Some parent helpers work in classes, listening to children read, working with groups on various tasks - such as Art and Design, Writing, ICT, Science and much more. Some parent helpers work in the school library allowing children to be able to change their books without the need for a teacher to be present.
We also have helpers who accompany teachers and children for swimming.
Parent helpers are also needed to provide extra adult support for school
trips and visits. The opportunity to be a parent helper is
open to any parent of a child in our school. If you wish to become a
parent helper you must complete a CRB clearance (a standard police
check) which is available from the school office.
