JUNGLE CLUB

Jungle Club is totally independent of Whittington Primary School. If you wish to contact them please use the mobile number below and not through the school office.

Jungle Club was started in January 1991 to provide quality out of school care for the children of working parents at a price they could afford. For the first four years our home was in the HQ of Whittington scouts group. In 1995 due to a TEC grant we moved into a mobile classroom at Whittington Primary School. Since September 2000 Jungle club has been using the school hall. The club is still run by its original committee members, Mary Cooke, Brenda Stewart-Jones and Jackie Found.

When are we open ?

We are open every day of the school term from 7.30am until 8.40am, and from the end of school until 5.45pm In the event that a parent is unavoidably late, we have a late collection procedure. An additional charge is made for this. Where possible we are open on teacher training days from 7.30am until 5.45pm.

Admissions Policy

We primarily take children between the ages of 4 and 11 who attend Whittington Primary School. Priority will be given to siblings of children who already attend the club and to children requiring a place every day. Places are awarded to children on the waiting list in strict chronological order.

Charges

Charges are graduated depending on the length of time a child attends each evening.

Minimum charge up to 4.15pm is £4.50

Collection between 4.15pm and 4.45pm is £5.25

Collection between 4.45 and 5.15pm is £6.25

Collection between 5.15 and 5.45pm is £6.75

Morning sessions

Child arriving before 8.10 am is £3.50

Child arriving after 8.10 am is £3.00

There is a 25% discount for the second and subsequent children attending, from the same family for both morning and afternoon sessions. There are cancellation charges for non attendance.
