Our Sports Council and Spors Leaders are ambassadors for Sport and Health and their role is to champion sport and promote healthy living. They meet regulalry and work with Mrs Howfield and Mr Hides and our School Sport offer would not be the same without them! 

This year (Autumn 2024) we now have 2 groups of children supporting the development of our PESSPA (PE, School Sport and Physical Activity offer) :

• Sports Council - this group is made up of children from year 1-5 with 2 representatives from each class. Their role is to collect pupil voice from their classes, generate ideas of new experiences we can offer and help to support the Sports Leaders
• Sports Leaders - this group is a group of year 6 pupils who help to organise and run events within our school for all pupils. They also help to communicate with parents and maintain equipment across school.

Autumn Term:

• Sports Council have helped give their feedback on PE and School Sport through pupil voice interviews.
• Sports Leaders give out weekly Sportsmanship Awards during our Friday Celebration assembly 
• Sports Leaders organised and delivered playground equipment for Years 1-6
• Sports leaders have helped to organise and run the Reindeer Run 
• Sports Council helped to organise their classes for the Rudolph Run
• Sports Leaders wrote and published an update on Whittington PE and School Sport for the Warbler
