Last inset the GARDEN STARTED! A small group of children aged from 4 - 8, worked hard for two hours, stripping turf, digging trenches, barrowing soil, barrowing manure which Mr Cope's scoop dropped over the hedge with a huge plop! Cow's muck, the best kind! They never once stopped working really hard. We found two different kinds of ants and saw baby ants moving insde the unhatched ants eggs. We collected half a bucket of worm which we carefully put back into the earth to do what worms do best, cultivate the ground! Then lo and behold, the willow was planted. It was such fun and we can't wait for the next thing to happen in the garden.
