| Sports day this year was a little different to the traditional sports day we have had at Whittington. Instead of all the children waiting for their race or races, the children were all active and in their own team, competiing against the other teams. The teams had to do ten different events against a timer and collected points on the amount of times they completed the event. The events ranged from Netball shoot, to obstacle, hockey, to goalie, to ladders, etc... All using different skills that the children have learnt or developed during games lessons this year. The teams also got points for cheering and they were quite loud!! The three teams with the highest score got a certificate and all the children got "Sports Day Stars Stickers"! It was a hot day, but everyone had lots of fun, children, staff and parents! Thank you to all who came to support the children and for all the great comments of support for the new sports day structure! | |
