Touch FM and the Local Police. On the 31st January 2007 we were very lucky to have Touch FM come into school with the local police! Dave James from the Breakfast show came in with the local police to talk to the children about safety and crime prevention. It was a great morning with lots of jokes from Dave with help from his special friend the Touch FM mascot, not the “police dog” all the children were expecting!! All the children were able to get into the police car, try on police officers hats and even making the sirens go!! The sirens were on so many times that the engine over heated !!! The police had to wait for it to cool down before they could go back to their station…. Thank you to Dave James, “The Dog” and all at Touch FM for organising a great assembly! A special thanks to Staffordshire Police for allowing their constables to come with their police car! |
