All of the children in Year 2/1 have been learning about a different country as part of their topic work this term. Mrs Richardson's class have been learning all about Japan and the Japanese culture. Mrs Dixon's class have been learning about Australia and Mrs Kendrick's class about Africa. Below are some photographs of one of the "hands on" topic days in Mrs Richardson's class, where the children experienced a variety of things, including learning to eat with chopsticks, visiting a Japanese Tea Shop, learning about the different Japanese foods and comparing British food to Japanese foods. Mrs Richardson's Tea Shop was a great success and Miss Kirk's Chopstick lessons made everyone very hungry!!! A great afternoon was had by all. |
