Geography Settlements

Year 4/3 have been studying 'Settlements' in Geography. We looked at maps and symbols, noting any changes in our locality. As a culmination of our topic Mrs Smith and Miss Smith planned a series of lessons that involved us planning and developing our own town/village in the classroom. Mrs Smith/Miss Smith were 'Project Managers' and we took on different roles within the town such as builders, health workers, environmentalists etc. We applied our knowledge of settlements, PSHE and problem solving to create our town. It was great fun!!
