Year 6/5 Healthy Eating Week During Healthy Eating Week year6/5 were busy writing food poetry and newspaper reports about whether school dinners or packed lunches are healthier. We had to do some research on the internet and also interviewed Mrs Short, our fantastic school cook. At the end of the week we cooked our own healthy meal, making sure that we were careful with food hygiene, and then got together in the hall to eat what we'd cooked. The menu consisted of:- Vegetable crudites with dips Vegetable soup with soda bread Cheese scones Cheese straws and Fruitbran loaf. We all agreed that the food was not only healthy but also delicious... and lots of fun to make. Thankyou to Mrs Short for keeping an eye on our cooking in the school ovens.
