'Believe, we can achieve!'

Year 6/5 have been designing their own t-shirts as part of our 'Talking Textiles' art project. First they designed a motif, or several small ones, on the computer using Publisher and either clipart or images from the internet. This was printed onto special computer transfer paper which was then ironed onto their t-shirts. They had to be careful to use the 'flip' tool for any words they used so that they didn't print like mirror writing! Then they added some further designs using special fabric pens. Their finished designs had to say something about them and their own interests. They were really good fun to do and the children also enjoyed their own mini fashion show where they took turns to commentate on each other's designs as they paraded down the catwalk.
