Current membership and responsibilities

Deputy Headteacher

Governor Experience

Since joining the school in 2008, I have served as an observer on the governing board, gaining valuable insight into whole‑school leadership and strategic development. I am now proud to represent the staff as the Teacher Governor, contributing to the continued growth and direction of our school community.

Professional Experience

My teaching career began in 2003 at Gorsemoor Primary School in Heath Hayes, where I taught across the Early Years, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4. During my time there, I led Music throughout the school and completed the Leading from the Middle leadership programme, which strengthened my passion for developing both teaching and curriculum.

After five years at Gorsemoor, I was appointed Deputy Headteacher at Whittington Primary School. Since joining the school, I have taught across all year groups and continue to be committed to fostering a positive, engaging and ambitious learning environment for every child.

Personal Interests

Outside of school, I try to stay as active as possible. I enjoy horse riding and am currently training for triathlons, which gives me a great balance of challenge and wellbeing. I am also a keen musician and play both the saxophone and the violin, hobbies that continue to inspire my love of the arts.
