Current membership and responsibilities

Andrew is chair of the Finance and Staffing Committee and is the Link Governor for Health, Safety & Wellbeing.

Governor Experience

Andrew has been a governor at Ibstock Junior School since 2016, taking on the role of Chair of the Resource Committee in early 2020. The experience Andrew has gained from his term at Ibstock enabled him to take on the role of chair of the Finance and Staffing Committee at Whittington and share ideas of best practice.

Professional Experience

Andrew has a BA (Hons) in Geography and a MSc in Energy Technology. Andrew has spent 27 years in the brick manufacturing industry working in operational management to executive board level. Andrew’s career has encompassed people and team development, setting up an award-winning apprenticeship scheme, achieving manufacturing excellence, strategic development plans, financial management and oversight, health and safety, sustainability, engineering and project management.

Personal Interests

Away from work Andrew enjoys time with his family and friends, walking his dog, DIY and running the footpaths and towpaths of Whittington.

Business Interests

Andrew is the Manufacturing Development Director for Ibstock Brick Ltd.

Andrew is also a Member of Whittington & Fisherwick Parish Council.
