Tea with Me

Within school, it is really important that we find the time to listen to the children and ‘Tea with Me’ enables me to create a supportive and welcoming space where pupils are championed and empowered to speak their mind and voice their opinions about their education.
‘Tea with Me’ takes place on a Friday afternoon. Each week a group of children are chosen to come and share a cup of tea (or a hot chocolate) and a biscuit with me. We discuss a range of school issues including behaviour, teaching and learning, after school clubs, uniform and subject specific discussions. The children are very open and honest and share their thoughts and opinions freely. This gives me a greater understanding of school life from their perspective which will then feed into discussions at our Senior Leadership meetings on school improvement.
